Cacao, the secret somatic psychedelic
Yesterday was one of the most powerful days I have ever had. My Yanantin, Arys Handley and I started by drinking ceremonial cacao after calling in and fully activating mother cacao's spirit medicine.
Cacao's true medicine is hidden from most people. even if you get ahold of high quality truly ceremonial grade cacao, which is completely different pharmacologicaly from the cacao sold in stores, and you simply drink it and go about your day, it will at best be mildly stimulating and maybe help you to sink into your heart a bit more. When a shaman who has been granted the proper soul codes to activate her medicine, activates it, It becomes an entirely different substance. The best way I can describe it as being a somatic psychedelic. Rather than having visions or being psychedelic mentally, it is an emotionally and bodily psychedelic experience.
So immediately after drinking the cacao, we drove out to Cuyahoga Valley national park and were listening to our favorite spiritual album and we both cried with gratitude for eachother.
The medicine really started to hit when we pulled into the parking lot where we would start our hike. while Arys was putting on uer hiking boots, I was pulled inside of my own heart and felt and saw myself melt into and merge with the core of the earth and I became the earth's heartbeat.
as we began hiking, Arys started to feel the medicine more deeply as well. She has drank ceremonial cacao many times and it was always a pleasant but quite mild experience for her and today she was right there with me having one of the most powerful plant medicine experiences we've ever had.
there were moments during the hike where I was laughing with euphoria and others where my heart was purging and purging and purging so much heaviness that I had to stop and try and hold onto reality for dear life.
The energy sensations in my body became so intense at certain points that I felt I was about to have massive panick attack and pass out or collapse but I was so highly aware of the energy movements that I was able to almost instantly move the energy that was built up and causing the intense discomfort and then move back to a place of peace while still being immersed in some of the most intense energy I have ever felt.
I also decided to do some cold exposure training while we were hiking so I went the vast majority of the hike with no shirt on in the snow and cold and that added to the power of the experience.
Arys opened up her Qusco Nawi(energy center in the navel and our main perceptive eye) and was guided straight to her hucha pichay rumis (2 stones that naturally have the ability to absorb heavy energy) which are her first physical healing tools in her training as a paqo.
we encountered some nature spirits and had some very intense experiences with them including one that sent both Arys and I into a state of intense fear and we both navigated the experience so beautifully with the help of our guides.
when we got back to my condo, the experience was still very intense and at one point, I have the most intense wave of heaviness, fear and anxiety and panic that I have felt in a very long time and Ays came through with the most powerful emotional healing that I have ever had. Seriously Ayrs, you are the most powerful healer I have ever met and you absolutely saved me last night.
the whole experience lasted over 12 hours for us and was akin to an Ayahuasca like Journey but a journey deep into the heart instead of out into the cosmos.
yesterday was one of the most intensely difficult and challenging and also intensely powerful beautiful and wonderful experiences I have ever had and I am so grateful to have shared this experience with the Love of All My lives.
